The NVIDIA RTX 4070 is a mid-range graphics card that targets gamers and creators looking for high performance at a more accessible price point. It leverages NVIDIA's latest Ada Lovelace architecture, delivering significant improvements in ray tracing, AI-driven features, and overall efficiency compared to its predecessors. The RTX 4070 features 12GB of GDDR6X memory, providing ample bandwidth for demanding games and creative applications at 1440p and 4K resolutions. It also includes support for DLSS 3.0, enhancing gaming performance by using AI to upscale lower-resolution images, resulting in smoother gameplay without compromising visual quality. While not as powerful as the higher-end RTX 4080 or 4090 models, the RTX 4070 strikes a balance between price and performance, making it a strong choice for gamers and content creators who want next-gen capabilities without the highest cost.

    I bought ryzen 7 7700 with 4070 and it's a freaking beast. I play all steam games on epic with 75 fps all day. Other games like fortnite an what not over 100fps. Pay attention to how the devs build games. Like truck sim an euro are all done in 60 fps so set your shit to 60 hz an lock fps an you'll get seamless playing versus making your system work hard for something that's not there. Same with all games. I love the 4070. Combine it with liquid cool an ddr5 you'll never regret it. But all that rolls in at around 1,800 hunnit.. so you going to pay all that get the 4090 .. I play beamng with Raytracing (4070) and it's just a beautiful game. Ships at sea is real. Assetto Corsa is phenomenal I've maxed everything out an it holds 75 fps strong. Only in replay does it have a shadow or tracer on the car ever once in awhile but that's the motion blur crap. Turned it off an it stopped. I upgraded from a dinosaur a computer I dug out the dumpster from the school. Slapped a 750 ti graphics card an 1tb hard drive an was whamming half the games on steam. But wanted the real look. I settled on the 70 because with it mixed with all I told you it shits out amazing graphics an refresh rate on games. Robocop started out studdering but after twaeking it. Its banging. You'll be pleased with this graphics card. Thanks for the vid.

    Interesting video, but I only understood about 25% of it. What's a "vector element"? "Scalar looping function"? "ISA"? Last time I heard the term "ISA" was in the early 90s, and it referred to a slot on the motherboard. "Segfault"? "bFloat extension"? This is a lot of terms to learn for a layman like me who just wants to know what AVX-512 is, and why only AMD CPUs have it now. By the time you got to the C++ part of the video, I had to stop watching entirely cause anything coding-related all goes right over my head.

    Why do we need 500 watt chips in the 1st place??

    • @yumri4
      @yumri4 20 днів тому

      The "why" is to push higher and higher clocks more voltage is needed. For more voltage the number of watts also goes up as Watts = Volts * Amps. The reasoning behind this? The clock you see on the box is the speed of most likely the execution cores. For them to work quicker the voltage needs to be higher though 1.73V it to high. The Intel EUFI hotfix is to move it from 1.73 to 1.5 alike to when we were on the core i 2nd gen chips. The chip shouldn't request above 1.5 Volts but in case it might the chip will be restricted to a maximum of 1.5 Volts. The problem is like with overclocking you push the voltage to get higher clocks to be stable but the life time of the chip is lessened the life time of the chips effected are already lessened. So the part of the chips will not be able to overclock as far will be true but you never should go over 1.5 Volts to a modern CPU anyways. This will also mean that max turbo might also be slower.

      Only 'cuz its not pushed as hard with ridiculous single core boost voltages. But if you build a new PC with that CPU, you basically have no upgrade path 'cuz their high end chips are not nearly as reliable enough. You can always go 12900K in the future but thats basically going generation backwards with more cores. For gaming it would be more of a sidegrade.

    i got a 13600k for my first gaming pc last year. Have't had any issues thus far, but I'm considering dropping back a gen to a 12th gen i7 or i9 to avoid potential issues. Very frustrating that the next gen is going to use a new socket, so i won't be able to jump forward without the hassle of rebuilding on a new motherboard. If (when) I have to do that then I'll absolutely be dumping intel altogether.

    Intel just needs to start replacing the chips. It is not a matter of if your chip will fail, it's a matter of when. It's unacceptable. The fixes require the chip to be slowed down via power cuts. If the silicon is degrading, this will only slow it down and the customer is not getting the power they purchased. Class action incoming I am sure.

      @@cosminmcm sure Intel is a mega corporation, they have many sectors, they will most likely recover but this video shows that intel’s reputation will be at the very least, slightly tarnished with a hurt to sales and the company as a whole. AMD CPUs so far provide higher efficiency, performance, upgrade ability and now stability than Intel. I’d love to build a system with Intel if they were only just more efficient and had long support for certain platforms. And clearly since you keep a collection of Intel CPUs, it’s quite obvious you are quite biased to Intel.
